Rules for abstract submission

All papers submitted will be evaluated. The accepted papers will be included in the scientific program only after Presenting Author's registration payment.

Abstracts previously submitted to local or national meetings are welcome. You may submit eight abstracts as Corresponding Author.

The Congress accepts abstracts online only. Abstracts sent by fax, floppy disk or e-mail will not be accepted. The abstract submission e-form will be available at www.ifossaopaulo2009.com.br through January 30th, 2009 at 09:00 pm GMT.

The abstract is required to follow a structural sequence: institution, author's name, title, introduction, objectives, material & methods, results and conclusion.

Note: When selecting the Area of Interest, please choose carefully. Click here to see the Area of Interest.

Abstract length is 2000 characters, not including the title, authors, and institutions. Just initials and last name of each author. No titles. Just primary Institution where paper has been developed. The submission program will tell you how many characters you have used and whether you are over the limit. Tables and graphics will not be accepted in the abstract. Type the abstract into the abstract space.

You may review your abstract at any time until the deadline or until you submit the paper. You will need the login and password to re-access your abstract. Your login and password will be automatically e-mailed to you at the time you start your abstract.

Note: At NO TIME may the Congress Staff make any changes to abstracts.

All accepted abstracts will be assigned to either an oral or poster presentation at the discretion of the Congress Committee. Taking into consideration your presentation preference, the Congress Committee reviews all abstracts and determines whether an abstract is suitable for an oral or poster session. It is the policy of the Congress that abstracts must be submitted with the intention that, if selected, they will be presented. Do not submit an abstract if you do not intend to present it at the Congress. Once scheduled, abstract presentation times and locations cannot be changed.

Note: Videos will be accepted for the congress. The rules for the submission of the abstracts are the same for all types of presentations. Please Click here to check the specific Video Festival Guidelines

After the Program Committee analysis, the corresponding author will receive an email by March 2009 regarding the paper acceptance, schedule and presentation form (oral presentation or poster). After March 2009, the abstracts notification will be posted at www.ifossaopaulo2009.com.

The Congress Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts that do not observe the above-mentioned rules.

The Congress Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts. The reviewing process is confidential and decision is final.

When submitting a paper, all authors agree that the paper abstract can be posted at the congress website, printed in the abstract book and/or saved on a CD Rom distributed to the participants.

Certificates:
A digital certificate, stating the abstract title, category and authors' names will be issued for each abstract. The authors' name will be written in the certificate exactly as submitted. Therefore, extra care is suggested to avoid misspelling. The certificate will be available for download and printing after the congress at www.ifossaopaulo2009.com.br
