SECRETARIAT WORKING HOURS
May 31 - material distribution and new enrolments – 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm
June 1 – 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
June 2-5 – 7.30 am to 6.00 pm

SPOUSES/GUESTS
Registered spouses/guests are entitled to participate in the Opening Ceremony and Cocktail, in the BRAZIL TROPICAL Closing Party of the Congress, will have a 10% discount in the city tours organized by the official tourism agency, will have discounts in the restaurants that have partnerships with the Congress, and transportation in the Congress’ buses. It is mandatory to use the ID badge.

ID BADGES
The use of ID badges is MANDATORY in all activities of the Congress, even in the exhibition area. If the badge is lost, a new one will be issued when requested to the Secretariat and a fee (80% of the original enrolment cost) will be charged.

POSTERS EXHIBITION
Located in the Convention Center, the Posters Exhibition will have around 420 posters per day, June 2, 3 and 4. On the day of its presentation, the poster must be placed between 7.00 and 8.00 am in the area corresponding to its panel number and should be removed on the same day, after 6.00 pm. Posters that have not been removed will be disposed of.

INSTRUCTIONAL COURSES
The Instructional Courses abstracts will be available for consultation on the counter located in rooms 12, 13, 14 & 15 Area.

FREE PAPERS AND INSTRUCTIONAL COURSES ABSTRACTS
Available in CD-ROM to be collected at Aché Laboratórios Booth (#206, 208, 305, 307) using voucher received in the delegate bag.

CERTIFICATES
The certificates of participation in the Congress can be printed during the event and will also be available for printing in the website of the Congress as of June 8.
To print your certificate: access the HP of the website of the Congress www.ifossaopaulo2009.com.br and click on the menu Certificates:
For the certificates of Participation in the Congress and in the Scientific Program type a PART of your name. For the certificates of Free Paper Presentation, type the code of your paper.

SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION
Rooms 07, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 will NOT have simultaneous translation. The other rooms will have ENGLISH / SPANISH / PORTUGUESE simultaneous translation in all sessions. To obtain the simultaneous translation headset, a document or the Identification Card provided by the Congress will be required.

TRANSPORTATION
SUBWAY:
A system of shuttle vans will be available between the Tietê subway station and Anhembi.
BUSES: Between the official hotels and the Convention Center: Mornings - from 7.00 to 9.00 am Afternoons - from 5.30 to 6.30 pm The buses will be identified by the logo of the Congress and the color of the line serving a group of hotels. To use the transportation, the use of the ID badge is essential.
The buses will return to the official hotels until 1.00 am on the day of the BRAZIL TROPICAL Party (June 4).
CAR: There will be a parking lot close to the Convention Center and shuttle vans will be available. To use the transportation, the use of the ID badge is essential.

INTERNET
NYCOMED is sponsoring two areas in the Exhibit Hall area with several computers, free access to Internet and also a charging service for cell phones. Internet access (Wi-Fi) will be available in the food court.

MEALS DURING THE CONGRESS
The Holiday Inn Hotel Restaurant. Food court for the Congress.

MEETING POINT AND MESSAGE CENTER
ACHÉ Pharmaceutical Company is sponsoring Meeting Points/Lounges and a Message Center in the Exhibit Hall.

CLOAKROOM
Located in the Exhibit Hall, it will be open from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.

TRAVEL AGENCY
The official tourism agency will be located in the Exhibit Hall. 100 Street

IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Smoking is not allowed in the scientific program rooms, in the corridors and in the Exhibit Hall.
The use of cell phones, pagers and beepers is not allowed in the scientific activity rooms.
Scientific activities cannot be photographed or filmed, and no scientific information or material presented can be used without a prior written consent from ABORL.

TIME SCHEDULE The Organizing Committee kindly request all colleagues that will participate in the scientific activities to strictly observe the session’s time schedule.

LOST AND FOUND
Will be concentrated in the Secretariat of the event.

National Health Surveillance Agency – ANVISA
In order to comply with the regulation of ANVISA during ENT WORLD CONGRESS – IFOS 2009, only prescribing professionals will receive free samples, small gifts and promotion of drugs sold by prescription.

SAFETY TIPS –IMPORTANT
Use the ID –Passport that you received with your congress material. Avoid dark, deserted and unlighted driveways and places. Avoid walking alone. Be cautious with laptops, cameras and jewelry.

SHOPPING HOURS
It is recommended that you do your shopping at malls (Iguatemi or Pátio Higienópolis). The malls are open from Mondays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. On Sundays, hours are from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

GRATUITY TIPS
15% of the total bill is considered a reasonable tip for good service. We recommend that you check the bill thoroughly because many restaurants include the tip (“taxa de serviço”) at the end of the bill and there is no need to double-tip.
