Preliminary Program - Confirmed Guest speakers

In the last few months the Brazilian committee worked on a strategic plan to put the scientific program on the road following the steps:

  • Establishing areas of interest of our field
  • Defining the more appropriated space and room for each area
  • Defining the format of presentation
  • Defining the duration of each format
  • Defining topics to be addressed
  • Defining the presenters

Our committee task force searched two journals known as purely ENT profile (Laryngoscope and Clinical Otolaryngology) and identified the most cited keywords in the last years. The results were compiled and distributed in several categories as countries, journals, subspecialties, institutions and authors.

Combined with a search at Medline, we identified 15.000 papers in the years from 2003 to 2006. With this result we could prepare a chart showing the percentage of distribution of preferred themes in different countries.

On top of this, we are also using the questionnaires of the last 3 Brazilian congresses held by our National Society which gathers approximately 3000 people every two years. However, no strategy would be better than the most important tool we could have - YOUR OPINION!

Your suggestion is very important to us. Take two minutes of your time and send us your area of interest and preferred topics. (Click here to see the form)
